Sydney is one of the members of our support team here at Connect & Thrive Psychology. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adler University.
Training & Experience
Sydney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is currently completing her second year of the Clinical Mental Health Program at Adler University, where she is studying to become a psychotherapist.
Sydney has many years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults from diverse populations. Her therapeutic lenses include cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative theory and psychoanalytic theory, which allows her to understand different needs of care.
Sydney is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and provides client care under supervision as she completes her graduate education.
Approach
With over three years of experience in an administrative role across various clinics, Sydney is often the first point of contact for clients. She is known for her empathetic, warm and attentive listening styles. She is committed to helping each client connect with a clinician that is best suited to their unique needs, as she understands that effective care is always personalized.
