Kristin Maich, Ph.D., C.Psych.

Clinical Psychologist, Consultant, CBT for Insomnia

Dr. Kristin Maich is a Clinical Psychologist licensed with the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Associates of Ontario (CPBAO). She works in a consulting and supervisory capacity at Connect & Thrive Psychology, and is primarily responsible for directing our Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) program. Dr. Kristin also offers therapy to a limited number of adult clients.

Training & Experience

Dr. Kristin Maich received her doctoral degree from the Toronto Metropolitan University, where she specialized in the treatment of insomnia. She completed her residency in the Mood and Anxiety Service and the Psychosis Clinic at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Prior to this, Dr. Kristin completed clinical practica at the Women’s Health Concerns Clinic at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton, at the Adult Outpatient Mental Health and the Child & Adolescent Services at Markham Stouffville Hospital, and at the Psychology Clinic at St. Michael’s Hospital.

In her private practice work, Dr. Kristin supports clients with sleep difficulties, anxiety (e.g., worry, panic, social anxiety), OCD and depression. She also has experience with relationship issues, family issues, women’s health concerns, grief, stress, and psychosis. Dr. Kristin draws primarily on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) in her work with clients, but weaves in other modalities as appropriate.
