Approach to Care

In the therapy room, Dr. Baker’s goal is to help you “Be Present, Open Up, and Do What Matters.” He believes that while we cannot always control the difficult thoughts or emotions that “cloud” our minds, we can choose how we respond to them. His approach focuses on helping you stay psychologically flexible and in contact with your personal values so you can make choices that lead to a more fulfilling life.
When conducting assessments, Dr. Baker uses specialized, empirically supported measures to understand exactly how your brain is functioning. This approach allows him to create a personalized roadmap—whether for a formal report or a treatment plan—that is tailored specifically to your unique strengths and needs.
